The Brief

Hamstreet Garden Centre, part of the family-run, independent Grovewell Garden Centres group, was planned to undergo a completely transformed site. The ambitious plans included both aspects of Newspan’s expertise; new build projects and refurbishment. From the initial design stages through to construction and finishing, our team worked closely with Grovewell to create a modern, efficient, and welcoming retail environment tailored to the needs of today’s garden centre customer.

The scale of work carried out on site at Hamstreet Garden Centre demonstrates just how comprehensive this redevelopment has been. Newspan delivered a wide range of projects within the same site, showcasing both our versatility and attention to detail. We refurbished and extended the existing warehouse, built a curved roof plant canopy and transformed the main entrance with replacement cladding and new hipped roof entrance. The new retail building – complete with its own plant sales canopy – was also added and carefully tied in with the existing building.
