The Brief

Rocket Padel already have several locations across the UK and planned to build their most prestigious site yet. As the leading indoor padel operator in the UK, Rocket Padel set out to deliver a top tier padel experience at the iconic Battersea Power Station. Newspan were tasked with providing the new flagship courts right on the River Thames, which would become London’s first riverside indoor padel courts.

Standing next to one of London’s most distinctive landmarks, the 11m tall building features a striking dark grey steel frame, Newspan’s own roof and wall glazing system, bifold doors and thermal screens. With four state of the art courts, private changing rooms, a bar and restaurant, and seating for up to 80 spectators, Rocket Padel offers a destination for more than just sports.

The Solution

Now complete, the site amenities include a stylish clubhouse, elegant changing rooms, a dedicated warm-up zone, a pro-shop, a comfortable lounge, a bar, and a bistro. Since opening, the new destination is quickly becoming one of the top spots for padel enthusiasts in the city, with Rocket Padel Battersea setting a new standard for the sport.
