Established in 1998, Newspan is a dynamic and forward-thinking design and build company that specialises in public access structures.

A leading expert in garden centre development, our steel portal frames and building envelope treatments can be adapted to suit almost any new build environment. Our range of cladding, glazing and roofing solutions makes cost effective refurbishment possible for almost any type of existing building too.

Using our extensive commercial building experience alongside our unique ‘design, deliver and care’ approach, we work closely with you throughout to understand your objectives, manage potential challenges and deliver exceptional value.

The Project Management Team

Managing Director

Mark Murray

Mark Murray started Newspan in 1998. As MD he’s ultimately responsible for the overall running of the business, as well as being a hands-on leader of the operations team. Having been in construction for 30 years, Mark manages customer relationships and is passionate about the service that Newspan delivers.

Commercial Manager

Dan Woods

Dan joined Newspan in early 2016 with an extensive amount of management experience behind him. Dan is involved in the whole process at Newspan, from customer enquiry to completion. He enjoys building relationships with new customers and working with people to find solutions that hit the brief.

Steel detailer / Procurement

Adam Long

Adam joined Newspan in 2015 and has become Newspan’s in house Steel Detailer. With a history of technical drawing Adam lends a keen attention to detail with every project. As well as being part of the design team Adam also procures the materials required for the job, liaising with suppliers and customers to ensure everything arrives on site in conjunction with our project timeline.

Detail Engineer

Ryan Long

Ryan joined the Newspan office in 2017 coming from a hands on role, welding at our fabrication facility. Ryan’s practical background and eye for detail allows him to quickly gain an in depth understanding of components required when estimating and detailing projects. He enjoys finding practical solutions to customer and on-site queries.

Office Manager

Hannah Ward

Hannah joined Newspan in 2020 as our Office Manager, with many years experience in similar roles. Hannah oversees the day to day running of the office ensuring policies and procedures at kept up to date. AAT level 3 qualified, Hannah is also the main point of contact for the company finances, dealing with purchase orders, invoicing, payments and profit reporting.

Design and Estimating Assistant

Henry Murray

Since joining in 2023, Henry has assisted with project design and project estimating. Henry has a pragmatic approach to detailing and site works which has proved beneficial when completing estimates.
