New restaurant for Squire’s at Badshot Lea
Tuesday, 16 August 2011
Following the delivery of a 3,000sq m new build multispan retail building for Squire’s at Shepperton early in 2011, Newspan is delighted to have completed a further contract for the group – this time an extension to the popular Seasons restaurant at Squire’s Badshot Lea Garden Centre.
Located just outside Farnham, Badshot Lea is both the largest of the group’s 14 garden centres across the south and its operational hub. Working with Pleydell Smithyman, the restaurant at the centre has been both expanded and refurbished, with Newspan providing the extension including a classic tall glazed atrium that floods the food area with bright, natural light.
As the project drew to its conclusion, Associate Director of Squire’s Design Consultant Pleydell Smithyman, Andrew Hughes, said:
“I wanted to say a huge thank you to all involved in this project… The objective of getting the Restaurant and Retail area opened to the target dates has been achieved and all areas now open to the public are transformed and looking absolutely stunning… It has been a pleasure to be part of the team.”
Sarah Squire, a Director of Squire’s Garden Centres said:
“This is a fantastic development for our Badshot Lea Centre – especially as we're celebrating our 75th anniversary this year. Our restaurant was always popular but we're now able to offer local customers an even finer selection of food and refreshments in a beautiful new environment.”
