A royal opening for Barton Grange Garden Centre, Brock

The Barton Grange Group has been providing plants, products, advice and inspiration to gardeners across the North West for over 45 years, so when planning a prestigious new-build garden centre at Brock, near Preston, they know exactly who to talk to – Newspan!
From the houseplant department with its stunning gazebo through to the fabulous plant area, the centre is made up from a serious of striking buildings, containing everything visitors could need for their gardens as well as stylish ideas for their homes, as well as a cafe, a restaurant and a farm shop. The outdoor plant area even has a roof that closes when it rains, so shoppers can comfortably browse the plants whatever the weather.
Following a guided tour by proud Barton Group Managing Director by Guy Topping and his father Eddie, Barton Grange Garden Centre was officially opened by HRH The Princess Royal in June 2008. The event is commemorated with a plaque, which was unveiled after the Princess had met many of the people who had helped to design and build the centre, as well as some of its customers, supporters and local schoolchildren.
